A materiality survey is carried out on annual basis to absorb the expectations of our stakeholders such as the public, government (central and regional), business partners, media, NGOs, employees as internal stakeholders as well as non-operational stakeholders such as educational institutions. Not only at the head office is the survey conducted, but also in every region where our subsidiaries operate.
The survey was organized using various methods: focus group discussions, telephone discussions, and questionnaires. It was facilitated by a research institute from the university as a third party to maintain the objectivity of our stakeholders when conveying expectations and input to the Company.
The results of this materiality survey will serve as a guideline for us to improve the performance in the area of sustainability as well as sharpen the Company's strategy. Our stakeholders’ expectations listed in material topics while our responses are reported transparently in a sustainability report accessible to the public.
To meet the stakeholders’ expectation, we formulate a stakeholder mapping based on operational influences and impacts. Identification is carried out for all business lines, both at mining sites, subsidiaries and head office.
