Future collaborations between ITM and BRIN will include studies on local plant diversity as a strategy for conservation as well as sustainable community empowerment in the PT Bharinto Ekatama (BEK) concession area, conservation of local plant diversity in the pre-mining area, and, evaluation of revegetation in the post-mining area of PT Trubaindo Coal Mining (TCM), biodiversity studies in BEK (Central Kalimantan) & PT Graha Panca Karsa (GPK) pre-mining concessions, and the development of PT IMM coastal area conservation (Blue Carbon; mangrove, seagrass & coral reefs).

By having the new memorandum of understanding signed, scientific collaboration between ITM and BRIN has the potential to cover more elements within the Company’s operations to realize ITM's vision, of becoming an Indonesian energy company at the heart of innovation, technology, inclusion, and sustainability.*** (erk/dyd)
